The Environment
F.T.Finley & Co Ltd recognises and understands its responsibilities towards the protection of the environment and operates a policy which delivers reductions in the environmental impact of our business operations. We operate an Environmental Management System, and are committed working towards ISO 14001:2004.
We are also committed to maintain acceptance of all our operations and activities by our trading partners, employees and local community.
We recycle our waste effectively; from returning pallets and containers to efficient skip management and on-site waste processing, we strive to recycle as much as we can.
We are committed to achieving continuous improvement in environmental performance.
We use low-waste, sustainable, eco-friendly materials whenever we can for example: we try to use timber from sustainable managed plantations. We try to use aggregate from the closest source to reduce travel pollution.
Health and Safety
F.T.Finley & Co Ltd is committed to the highest standards of health and safety.
We operate a Health and Safety System, and are committed working towards OHSAS 18001 Occupational Health and Safety Management System.
We aim to provide and maintain a work environment that is safe and without risk to health for all employees, contractors and others who may be affected by the activities or processes of the company.
Training
F.T.Finley & Co Ltd’s continuing success depends on our employees and their development.
F.T.Finley & Co Ltd are committed to continuous improvement and training to develop our employees and work with local groups to improve areas within the construction industry.
We have recently been awarded the ‘Investors in People’ award for a commitment towards continuous improvement and development of our work force.

The company supports staff in continuous professional development training and in achievement of Construction Skills Certification Scheme (CSCS) registration.
We are committed to the Learning Skills Council’s ‘Skills Pledge’.

By making the Skills Pledge, F.T.Finley & Co Ltd commits to:

We are extremely proud of our continuing commitment to craft apprenticeships, which are overseen by the CITB and Skills Solutions. We support our apprentices to gain their NVQ qualifications in either single or multi-trade disciplines and continue either as site operatives or develop into supervisors and managers.
