14th October 2011 - FT Finley employees dig deep for charity Stores Manager, Chris Wall, has proudly confirmed that a total of £200 has been raised for Help for Heroes, the charity formed to help those who have been wounded in Britain's current conflicts. Chris is himself an ex-serviceman with over 18 years service with the Royal Logistics Corps all over the world, including Afghanistan, Iraq, Bosnia, Germany and the first Gulf War. He set up his “stall” in the company’s warehouse selling the distinctive Help for Heroes wristbands. Chris is a fervent fund-raiser for the charity, having been part of the team in the Manchester 10K run in May. The amount raised complements the company’s donation to the Lancashire Veterans Association earlier in the year which was received by two Chelsea Pensioners on their visit to the FT Finley HQ in Stockport.
The three Standards are coordinated via the company’s Integrated Management System (IMS). Only around 4% of construction firms have achieved all three Standards, highlighting what a fantastic achievement this is. A rigorous audit of all aspects of the company’s processes and procedures was carried out by independent external Assessors, ISOQAR, in April and June, including site visits and random interviews of employees at all levels. The Assessor’s report was generally very complimentary, with particular praise for customer satisfaction, the Stores management and the knowledge and understanding of the IMS system by the site staff. 3rd May 2011 – FT Finley adds to Operations Team The Company has recruited Ian Kelly to its senior management team.
Formerly with Bramall and the Kinetics Group, Ian assumes the new role of Assistant Director (Operations). Announcing the new appointment, Operations Director Nick Finley said: “Ian is hugely experienced in our sector with a successful track record across the North West client base. He is a welcome addition as we further strengthen our operations team and expand our offering across the region. Most importantly, he complements our family team ethos and understands the importance of establishing and maintaining excellent customer relationships.” Ian said: “FT Finley is a widely-respected service provider, in social housing in particular. I’m delighted to be joining an already strong team with the opportunity to influence the next stage in the company’s continued growth. In the current environment, FT Finley’s long-standing reputation and stability is proving particularly attractive to our client base.” 25th March 2011 – Chelsea Pensioners visit FT Finley Chelsea Pensioners, Denis Shiels and Alf Hey, paid a colourful visit to Stockport-based social housing maintenance specialists, FT Finley, to receive the company’s donation to The Lancashire Veterans Association (LVA). The Pensioners, resplendent in their trademark scarlet uniforms, were visiting the North West as guests of honour to the Heywood-based LVA, a voluntary organisation specialising in sending comfort parcels to troops on active service as well as providing a variety of support services to bereaved families of local ex-service personnel. The visit was arranged by FT Finley Stores Manager, Chris Wall, himself an ex-serviceman having served 18 years with the Royal Logistics Corps all over the world, including Afghanistan, Iraq, Bosnia, Germany and the first Gulf War. “The LVA ensures that the comfort parcels reach the troops on the ground and they are really appreciated”, said Chris. “Around 1,000 parcels are sent each year, with many going to the Selly Oak Hospital for injured servicemen.” FT Finley Managing Director, Fred Finley, said, “It was an honour to have the Chelsea Pensioners visit us and to support the work of the LVA, which shows both serving and former personnel that they have not been forgotten and demonstrating the local pride and appreciation for them.”

F.T. Finley has strengthened its senior management team by the addition of the new role of Assistant Director (Business Development).
Steve Coe, previously with Jackson Lloyd and Mears, has been appointed to the role and said: “I’m delighted to be joining the company at an exciting stage in its growth. At a time when many clients are understandably concerned about the ongoing viability of contractors, F.T. Finley’s track record of quality, reliability and financial stability presents an attractive proposition. As a family-run company with a hands-on approach, clients have the added comfort of dealing directly with the senior decision-makers who understand the value of long-term relationships.” Jay Finley, Operations Director and second generation family member of the company owners, said: “Steve brings a wealth of experience in both business development and commercial matters to the business. His contribution will be invaluable as we look to strengthen our presence in the social housing sector and similar markets, based on the reputation for sustainable growth we have forged over many years.” 30/06/2010 - FTF re-designs playing field for local school Once the work was complete the school wrote to us to thank us and this is what they said: “The pathway is now complete and I have to say... it is brilliant!
